Mundane Morsel

Sometimes life is just daily

March 24, 2014

Lovely and neglected

by Megan Stocker in Between Meals, Mindful Morsel

When I was little, I used to feel so sorry for my stuffed animals and toys that I didn't play with very much. Like my Koosa that I lobbied hard for when I thought that my Cabbage Patch Doll needed a pet.

Now, my heel collection gets my sympathies.

I took this pair out for a sashay around my bedroom the other day to remind myself of what a Made in Italy, vintage-shop score with no-slip elastic already sewn into the slingback strap feels like.

Even back in my New Bals and running pants, I felt a few inches taller and a decade lighter.

They seemed to shine a bit brighter, too, when I put them back on the shelf with the others.
